Ok, having work done on your house isn’t so much fun when they take all the windows out and leave you shivering.
Hopefully they’ll put something in the holes before they pack up for the day.
On a lighter note, the finance for this extravaganza of hammer banging still hasn’t come through despite them saying it was gonna be available 3 weeks ago. Looks like I’m probably going to end up with them taking my windows back!
Hey ho – at least I’m only working a few hours each day.

I’ve decided, that physical work isn’t for me. I’m more cerebral. I ache in places I didn’t think existed any more.
A weekend of heavy lifting, followed by a day of hacking at a thick hedge with nothing but secateurs has led me to this conclusion. That and the burning feeling in my arms and legs.
I’m so looking forward to watching someone else do all the work.

Yay! Work is about to start on the major renovations of my house. The garage has been fitted, and I spent the weekend moving all our junk into it. I ache. That was actual real physical work – something I’m not known for.
Next comes the windows. No, not that Bill Gates spawned barely-operating system (geek reference there), but the glass things that let light into my house (when they’re clean). On Monday it all starts. Expect lots of bangs, crashes and maybe even smashes. Oh, and I get to stay at home during the day (but I still have to work in the evening). Yay!

Er, I s’pose I should tell you guys I got a new job. Not that you could tell.
Me and another guy on my team (let’s call him “Englebert”) both got new jobs at the same place. ‘Cos we’re so invaluable, they advertised (internally) for 3 bodies to replace us. They got 2 applicants, and one of them has just quit to go elsewhere! It looks like the one remaining applicant wasn’t suitable. That means I got a new job about 10 weeks ago, and I still can’t take it!
Isn’t it nice to be needed? No, not really!
If it was a job working for another company, I would’ve been long gone, instead of sitting in the same chair, listening to the same customers complain about the same systems that I don’t have any influence over. Ho hum.

Ok, well the only comments I’ve had about the “Too Cool” logo have been positive, so it stays. Might see if I can get a HOOOGE one instead…..
